Whitewater is a big part of MUCC so we hold regular white water trips to places such as North Wales, Yorkshire Dales, The Lake district and different grades to offer something for freshers as well as experienced kayakers. We also compete in BUCS Wild water racing, BUCS slalom and the National Student Rodeo.
At MUCC, we love polo too. Aside from training, we compete in the North West and Central polo leagues, ladies development leagues, Cardiff polo tournament, BUCS polo tournament and the Christie cup.
Training sessions take place at the Manchester Aquatics Centre every Tuesday from 8 - 10pm and is £2 per hour for members and £3 per hour for non-members.
Polo sessions take place at the Moss-Side Leisure Centre every Thursday from 8 - 10pm and costs £4 per session for members or £5 for non-members. Meet at the Ford Madox Brown at 7:45pm for walking there.
In addition to this there are also dry training sessions which focus on fitness. These are Mondays from 8:15 - 10:15pm at the Sudgen Sports Centre and cost £2.
"What do I bring to these sessions?" I hear you ask. Well, for the training and polo sessions, bring swimming kit and a towel. For the dry sessions you should bring a pair of trainers, sports kit and a bottle of water (there are also showers in the Sudgen centre so a towel is optional).
